3rd & 4th Week Teaching practice: October 7 – October 18

Biweekly Report: October 7 – October 18 Introduction During the third and fourth weeks of my teaching practice, from October 7th to October 18th, I continued teaching students in 8th and 9th classes. Alongside my regular lessons, I conducted two subject association activities for World Sight Day and World Food Day. Additionally, I fulfilled various duties, such as discipline and lunch, which provided a broader perspective on school management. Innovative Work: Respiratory System

TOPIC: HUMAN RESPIRATORY SYSTEM AIM The primary aim of this innovative work was to prepare a working model of the human respiratory system as a novel and creative teaching aid for the effective transaction of the content “Human Respiratory System” from the unit “Respiration and Excretion” for standard 9th students. OBJECTIVES 1. To develop a novel and creative teaching aid for the effective and meaningful transaction of the content “Human Respiratory System.” 2. To prepare a working model of the human respiratory system as an innovative teaching tool. 3. To facilitate an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters a deeper understanding of the breathing mechanism. 4. Subject activity (world food day, Oct 16, 2024)

On 16th October, in class 8th, I organized an subject association activity to celebrate World Food Day. I explained the importance of observing this day, focusing on global food security and the need to reduce hunger. The students, having been informed a day earlier, came prepared and enthusiastically created posters on the topic, showcasing their creativity and understanding of the significance of World Food Day.

Subject activity ( World sight day, Oct 10,2024)

  On October 10th, I conducted a subject association activity in class 8th B to raise awareness about World Sight Day. I showed a video that highlighted the significance of celebrating World Sight Day, common eye disorders, and essential tips on how to take care of our eyes. The students were engaged throughout, and the session helped them understand the importance of eye health and prevention of vision-related issues.

Subject Activity (World Animal Welfare Day,Oct 4 ,2024)

October 4th is celebrated as World Animal Welfare Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the welfare of animals and promoting their protection globally. As a biology teacher trainee, I conducted an awareness session for the 10th students during my teaching practice. The purpose of this activity was to educate students on the importance of animal welfare and instill a sense of responsibility toward the ethical treatment of animals. The activity involved showing the class a short, informative video that highlighted key issues related to animal welfare, such as the mistreatment of animals, the need for conservation, and the importance of ethical farming practices. After the video, I facilitated a discussion with the students, asking them to share their thoughts on what they had seen and encouraging them to think critically about how human actions impact animals. 1st and 2nd Week Teaching practice: September 25 – October 4

  My teaching practice began on September 25th, and in the first two weeks, I engaged with students in 8th, 9th, and 10th classes. These weeks were eventful, with cultural and social activities such as the school’s Kalolsavam and a cleanliness campaign for Gandhi Jayanti. Along with my regular lessons, I was assigned to teach the 10th grade temporarily as the regular teacher was on leave. - September 26-27: School Kalolsavam- Students actively participated in various programs, including dance and music. There were no regular classes during these two days. - October 2: Cleanliness Campaign (Gandhi Jayanti)  As part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the school organized a cleanliness campaign, and students participated enthusiastically in cleaning the school campus. - 8th Standard: Chapter – "Let's Regain Our Field". Gandhi Jayanti Celebration: Cleaning Campaign

       On October 2nd, in honor of Gandhi Jayanti, our school organized a cleanliness campaign. The day began with a school assembly where the Headmaster addressed everyone, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and Gandhiji’s vision. Following the instructions, both students and teachers took part in cleaning the school campus, working together to tidy the surroundings. The event not only instilled a sense of responsibility in the students but also fostered teamwork. After the campaign, refreshments were provided to all the participants, making it a fulfilling and productive day.
