5th & 6th Week Teaching practice: October 21 – November 1

Biweekly Report: October 21 – November 1

Introduction
During the fifth and sixth weeks of my teaching practice, from October 21st to November 1st, I continued engaging with students in 8th and 9th grades, focusing on developing their understanding of biological concepts. Alongside my teaching, I also took part in discipline and lunch duties, which allowed me to connect more closely with the students beyond the classroom.

- 8th Standard: Chapter – "Why Classification" : I introduced students to the fundamental principles of biological classification. To support their understanding, I used teaching aids such as charts, flashcards, and activity cards, as well as a PowerPoint presentation that visually highlighted the hierarchy and importance of classification in biology.

- 9th Standard: Chapter – "Respiration and Excretion"- Building on previous lessons, I continued to delve deeper into the processes of respiration and excretion with 9th-class students. I used visual aids, including charts and diagrams, to make the topics more accessible.

Other Activities: Discipline and Lunch Duties- Throughout these weeks, I was involved in discipline and lunch duties. This role gave me insight into managing student behavior and ensuring smooth school operations.

Challenges and Reflections- One challenge during these weeks was maintaining student engagement with abstract concepts, especially in classification. However, the use of visual aids and activity cards proved helpful in keeping students engaged and ensuring they understood the relevance of these topics.

Conclusion: The fifth and sixth weeks of my teaching practice were productive, as I strengthened my instructional methods and deepened my interactions with students.
